In a bizarre crossover event that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret sect.
The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Content
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an unique katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
